Mar 01, 2010: Bangkok (Lunch, Dinner)
Sawadee, welcome to Thailand. Upon arrival in Bangkok, your local tour guide will meet you at arrival hall then
transfer to the Shangri-la Hotel where you will stay for a night.
Today’s lunch is served at Ramayana (International buffet) and dinner is served at your hotel, Shangri-la Hotel
(International buffet)

Mar 02, 2010: Bangkok—Chiangrai (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Morning breakfast is served at your hotel following your transfer out to the airport for your domestic flight to
Chiangrai. Upon arrival in the northern city your local tour guide will meet you at arrival hall then transfer to Dusit
Island Resort for two nights.
In the afternoon visit Doi Tung, the Princess Mother Project, the former Palace. In the afternoon, visit to the hilltribe
villages that are under the patronage of the Princess Mother. Today’s lunch is served at Doi Tung Project. Return to
Chiangrai and dinner is served at Salung Kam.

Mar 03, 2010: Chiangrai ~ Cross border experience (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Following breakfast at your hotel, depart for Chiangsaen to visit the old capital and old temple. Enjoy a boat trip
along the Mekhong River from Chiangsaen to the Golden Triangle. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant then continue
to visit the Hall of  Opium Museum and then to Mae Sai. Here at the furthest north point of Thailand, you can walk
across the border. (Optional crossing border line to Burma). Tonight’s dinner is served at a local restaurant.

Mar 04, 2010: Chiangrai—Chiangmai (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then check out. Depart for Chiangmai, en-route visiting Wat Rong Khoon and stop for
lunch. Upon arrival in Chiangmai, visit Doi Suthep Temple - the highest temple into the clouds. Your tour continues to
San Kham Paeng Handicraft centre. Tonight’s dinner is served at Baan Suan, a beautiful restaurant located along Mae
Ping river with good Thai food. After dinner, you will release lanterns up to the sky as sign of long life and blessings.
Check in at the Shangri-la Chiangmai hotel for  one night.

Mar 05, 2010: Chiangmai - Pai (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Early every morning the saffron-swathed Buddhist monks walk from their temples carrying alms pots.
Their religion forbids the monks from asking for food, so the tradition is to buy a basket containing some rice and
fruit from a street vendor, and take off your shoes, kneel down and offer the basket to a passing monk. For this he’ll
bless you. Whatever your beliefs, this is one optional excursion you will find a serene and spiritually rewarding way
to start a day.
Return to your hotel breakfast then check out. This morning transfer to Mae Rim Elephant camp. Here you will have a
once-a-life-time experience riding the elephants in the jungle.
Your tour will continue to Pai visiting hilltribe villages alon gthe way. Not to be missed is the Pong Doued hot spring
and Wat Ban Nam Hu.
Unseen in Thailand  is the vast diversity of hilltribal villages, un-touched natural resources and the smiles of
Thailand.  Before lunch, you will cisit the Chinese Yunan Cultural Center. Today’s lunch is served at the Sapan Pai
Restaurant. Your tour continues to Pai Memorial Bridge and Pai Canyon, Coffee in Love. Before sunset, take a
panoramic view of Pai City at Wat Mae Yen.
Dinner is served at a local restaurant following time for shopping at Pai Walking Street.

Mar 06, 2010: Pai - Mae Hong Sorn (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in the morning then check out. Proceed to Mae Hong Sorn en-route visiting Fish Cave.  
After lunch, take a boat ride to Nam Piang Din to see the Long Necked Hill tribe village. Return to Mae Hong Sorn then
visit temples in town. Check in at the Imperial Tara Mae Hong Sorn hotel for one night.
This evening your dinner is served at Fern Restaurant.
Mar 07, 2010: Mae Hong Sorn - Bangkok - Krabi (Breakfast)
Following breakfast at your hotel, visit the morning market then transfer to the airport for your flight to Krabi (with
connections in Chiangmai and Bangkok).  The rest of your stay in Krabi is at leisure to relax and enjoy the sun &
beaches.

Mar 10, 2010: Krabi  - Hanoi (Breakfast)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi, Vietnam. Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you will have a warm welcome
from our tour guide and be transferred to your hotel. Hotel: Sofitel Plaza Hanoi 5*
A short taxi or motorbike ride outside of Hanoi's center brings you to the Museum of Ethnology. The French-designed
building and surrounding grounds, which simulate life in the provinces, warrant the trip even before you step inside.
The museum displays a dizzying array of artifacts from all over Vietnam. Brief descriptions in French, English and
Vietnamese of tools, clothing and recreated homes provide a sketch of several Vietnamese ethnic minorities. A craft
shop sells books, bags and other items from various ethnic communities at reasonable prices.The French-designed
building and surrounding grounds, which simulate life in the provinces, warrant the trip even before you step inside.

Mar 11, 2010  Hanoi- Halong (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Transfer to Halong (170km) approximately 3 and a half hour. You will enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of
the Red River Delta, the scenery of the rice paddies, water buffaloes and everyday Vietnamese village life.

11:30  Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier
12:15 Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to
cabins and begin cruise.
13:00  Lunch - deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu.
Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise.
14.30  Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing on the beach and climbing the steps to the top of the mountain
on the island for fantastic views and photo opportunities. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45
minutes on the island.
15.15 Transfer back to the boat and sail for approximately 45 minutes to our second destination - the Bat Cave area.
16.15 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. There are two programs to choose from at this time. One option is a 40 minute
kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters. Kayaking is $10. per person unless
already booked as part of your package. Water is supplied.

The second option is to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay. We will travel to the village on the
tender and tour the village for approximately 20 minutes.
18:30  Arrive at Luon Bo area - anchor for overnight.
19:00  Dinner - deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner.
20:30  Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and
playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at
this time we offer, when possible - depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat.
We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and
other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes.
21:00 – 23:00  Happy Hour! Buy one drink - get one free (wine excluded).

Mar 12, 2010         Halong- Hanoi  (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
6:45  Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the dining room.
7:00  Arrive at the Surprise Cave area, there is a small fishing village here. Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi
instruction on the sundeck at 7:00, duraion about 30 minutes.
8:00  Transfer by tender to the Surprise Cave. Walk up the 100 steps to the entrance of the cave and tour on foot for
approximately 45 minutes.
9:00  Upon return to the boat take time to freshen up and please check-out of cabins. Please leave heavy luggage
outside of the cabins (staff will transfer to the pier). Depart for Bai Chay/Halong pier.
9:30  Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. Settle bills in the dining room after breakfast.
10:00  Relax on the sundeck or in the dining room and enjoy the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
10:45  Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier.
11:00  Transfer by tender to the pier, relax inside the pier building while waiting for return transportation.
Pick up and transfer to hotel. In the evening, entertain with Water Puppet Show. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Mar 13, 2010        Hanoi- Nhatrang (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, you have the city tour in Hanoi comprises:
- Temple of Literature (Van Mieu) – Quoc Tu Giam, a famous historical and cultural relic consisting of the Temple of
Literature and Vietnam’s first university.
- Hoan Kiem Lake, which as considered as the most beautiful lake in the city, with Ngoc Son Temple, which was built
in the 19th century, dedicated to the god of literature, which is linked with the bank by a beautiful curved bridge
called The Huc (morning sunshine).
- One-Pillared Pagoda (Mot Cot Pagoda), built in 1049 in the shape of a lotus flower. According to a legend, King Ly
Thai To, who had no male offspring, once saw in a dream the goddess of compassion (Avalokitesvara) sitting on a
lotus who handed a boy to him. The King later married a young peasant woman he had met by chance and a son was
born to them. As a token of gratitude, he had the pagoda built and dedicated it to the goddess
- Ethnology Museum: Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is both a research centre and a public museum exhibiting the
ethnic groups of Vietnam.
Lunch then transfer to the airport for flight to Nhatrang ( HAN NHA 1605 1745  VN 269 ) Meeting guide and transfer to
hotel.. Dinner and overnight in Nhatrang. ( Sunrise hotel/ 5 star)

Mar 14, 2010        Nhatrang- Saigon (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
This morning, you can choose either go sight-seeings to Po Nagar Tower, Long Son Pagoda and Dam Market or travel to
one of the beautiful islands to go swimming in emerald ocean and enjoy sunbathing or snorkelling (on your own
payment).
Back to have lunch before noon. Then transfer to airport for your flight to Saigon. (NHA SGN 1505 1600  VN 453)   Arrival
HCMC, meeting with guide and have a short city tour to visit the City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Municipal Post
Office. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in HCMC. (Caravelle/ 5 star)

Mar 15, 2010        Saigon –Mekong (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Depart at 7:30am, full Day tour to Mekong Delta including boat ride on the Mekong River to Caibe floating markets
thronged with buyers and sellers moving around in boats laden with farm products. Then take a visit to home
factories with pop-rice, coconut candy..., enjoy local fruit and the South-West traditional music before Lunch at a local
restaurant. Continue boating to Vinh Long, pick up and transfer back to Saigon. Arrive in Saigon around 5:30pm. Dinner
and overnight in Saigon. (Caravelle/ 5 star)

Mar 16, 2010         Saigon—Bangkok (Breakfast)
Spend last minutes for downtown shopping (embroideries, silk, lacquer ware,...) or at leisure before check out.
Transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure flight to Bangkok.
Upon arrival in Bangkok connects with Thai Airways ETD 7.30pm, ETA LAX on Mar 16 at 6.40pm
